The IPU, represented by Jim Curran, attended the official photo launch of Men’s Health Week 2026 (which ran from 15 to 21 June) alongside Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill and Minister of State at the Department of Health with responsibility for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy, Jennifer Murnane O’Connor.
The event, organised by the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland, highlighted the importance of encouraging men to engage proactively with their health and wellbeing.
Community pharmacies play a vital role in supporting men’s health through accessible advice, preventative care, health screening services, and signposting to further support.
Community pharmacies around the country actively participated in supporting and promoting the event with many pharmacies organising activities to coincide with the week.
