The Common Conditions Service has been shortlisted for the Better Public Services Awards 2026. The Better Public Services Awards are an annual celebration honouring outstanding achievements in innovation, collaboration and delivery across the civil and public service. There are 12 categories for nomination all of which are aligned with the Public Service Transformation 2030 Strategy. The Department of Public Expenditure and Reform received applications from all Government Departments plus sixty-four public service bodies. There were over 160 volunteer evaluators from across the civil and public sectors working in teams to evaluate and mark all of the applications to create a shortlist of projects, with a separate committee making the final decision based on the evaluation team’s recommendations.
The Common Conditions Service is nominated alongside two other projects under ‘Pillar 3: Evidence informed policy and services designed for and with our public’, and within that Pillar, under ‘Category 07: Human-centred policy and service design’.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on 25 June in the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
