No. Initially there will be a pharmacy account only. Appropriate access to this account may be shared by the supervising pharmacist with support staff. How can I use Healthmail? Healthmail is a safe and secure way to communicate patient identifiable clinical information. It will allow you to communicate with: • Primary Care Teams • Community Intervention Teams • Palliative Care Teams • Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists in secondary care • Departments of Public Health Where are the email contact lists for hospitals and primary care teams? A limited number of hospital and primary care team email contact lists are held in the public folders on Healthmail. To access the public folders either follow the instructions available on www.ipu.ie/healthmail or phone the help desk at 1800 800 002 and select option 2. The public folders also hold a list of connected hospitals and health agencies. Forgot my password Ring the help desk at Freephone 1800 800 002 and select option 2. Problem with registration I registered for Healthmail, got my username by email and my password by SMS text, but when I go to log in for the first timeI can’t manage to do it. Any advice? You access Healthmail through https://access.healthmail.ie and when you do this for the first time you are asked to enter the password you got in the SMS text and then create a new strong password. Sometimes the password in the SMS text is difficult to interpret: is that a 0 (number zero) or O (capital letter O), is that a 1 (number one) or an l (lower case L). Best way to solve this is to ring the help desk while you are online, at Freephone 1800 800 002 and select option 2. Once you authenticate yourself with your Healthmail address and your security code they will help you through the process of your first log-in. Your security code is contained in the ‘Account Created’ email that came to your normal email address. Supervising Pharmacist leaving a pharmacy Every pharmacy’s Healthmail account is associated with a supervising pharmacist.
