The IPU Delegation Management course is a tutor-directed online workshop and is aimed at candidates who are in a supervisory or management role or aspire to be in the future. Good delegation skills support supervisors and managers, make the most productive use of their own time, and improves team members’ knowledge and skills, as well as the team’s job satisfaction. Good delegation practice also avoids managerial overload, stress and ultimately burn out.

Time: from 10.00am to 12.00pm, break for lunch and then runs from 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Levels of Delegation – The Delegation Continuum;
The Importance of Making Effective and Efficient use of People’s Knowledge and Skills, and how to Achieve this with Delegation;
Techniques for Deciding the Most Appropriate Team Member to Undertake the Activity;
The Skills of Delegation; and
Process of Delegation including Barriers and Support Mechanisms.
