VHI Healthcare member assistance programme

When life gets on top of us, we all need someone to talk to and that’s exactly how the IPU MAP (Member Assistance Programme) can help. We are offering a free confidential counselling and information service to all members and their families provided by Vhi Corporate Solutions.

To access the VHI portal you will need to register using the VHI IPU username and password. Just follow these steps

Practitioner Health Matters Programme

This programme provides with confidential help and support for health professional in Ireland who may have a mental health issue (stress, anxiety or burnout) or may have a substance misuse. This programme is fully independent and separate from the regulatory bodies and employers.

This programme is available to all pharmacists in Ireland. Therefore, if you have a concern about stress or anxiety you can receive confidential help from expert.

Turn to me

They are a registered charity that provides support and professional counselling to those in need. turn2me also offers up to six free, anonymous, professional counselling sessions for adults via instant chat/messaging, video, or email from their dedicated section available here. This is a safe space to share experiences. Every group support chat is facilitated by a mental health professional.

You can also access information across a wide range of topics in the Information Centre section of their website. This includes topics such as anxiety, self-care tips for you and your frontline team and coping with burnout.

Silver Cloud

The HSE has made four of their online mental health and wellbeing programs free to access for all health sectors staff . The four programs cover, Stress, Sleep, Resilience and Challenging Times. These programs, which are self-directed, feature evidence based content in a series of modules that draw on well-established interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy.

Stress Control (HSE)

The HSE has made available a six weeks with 2×90 min sessions a week on Stress Management. These sessions will provide you with the skills to fight stress and boost your wellbeing. This service is available here.

HSE Health and Wellbeing

The HSE has available a free, online mental health and wellbeing programme called Minding Your Wellbeing. This evidenced based programme, focusing on the promotion of mental wellbeing, has been adapted from a face-to-face programme into a series of online videos for everyone at this time. What does the programme consist of? Consisting of 5 video sessions (20 min). To get the most from the videos it is recommended to watch them in order (1 through to 5).
