The IKA and the National Renal Office (NRO) are marking World Kidney Day with an awareness campaign to highlight the significant prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD). In addition, they wish to highlight the importance of screening and early detection to slow down its progression, especially when closely linked comorbidities may exist such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.

The IKA and the NRO are inviting all healthcare professionals including pharmacists, to support their campaign around World Kidney Day 2024. They say that by working together we can help to reduce the burden of CKD and heart disease, and improve the health of our communities.
