Home » Minister for Health and Chief Medical Officer receive their flu vaccine in pharmacies
The IPU welcomed the decision by the Minister for Health, as well as the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Nursing Officer, to receive their flu vaccinations in pharmacies.
The IPU has continued in recent weeks to raise awareness of the availability of both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines in more than 850 pharmacies across the country. IPU Committee members have been in the media in recent weeks urging people to get vaccinated.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly TD received his flu vaccination from pharmacist Fionan Laighneach, while Chief Medical Officer Professor Breda Smyth and Chief Nursing Officer Rachel Kenna, received their vaccinations from Stephen Bradley, Supervising Pharmacist Manager at Meagher’s Pharmacy, Upper Baggot St, Dublin 2.
