VAT Changes 1 January 2023

As part of Budget 2023, the Minister for Finance announced that the VAT rate for all menstrual cups, menstrual pants, menstrual sponges, HRT and Nicotine replacement therapies will be zero rated from 1 January 2023.

A zero VAT rate already applies to oral medication, and this has been extended to include non-oral medicines HRT and Nicotine replacement therapies (i.e., gels, patches, etc).

The IPU January Product File will be updated to reflect these changes.
