The training requirements for pharmacists who wish to provide vaccination services are available on the PSI website here.
The following training programmes, which pharmacists who wish to provide vaccination services may need to complete, are currently available on the IIOP website:
- Responding to an Emergency Situation & Management of Anaphylaxis (RESMA) (2023);
- Administration of Herpes Zoster Vaccination Training Programme (2023);
- Administration of Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine Training Course (2023); and
- Delivery of a Pharmacy-Based Vaccination Service Training Programme (2023).
The IIOP website also provides information on CPR training, appropriate courses and approved course providers. The Medicines Administration (Parenteral) (PAMT) training programme is available through Hibernian Healthcare.
