Sanofi has advised that Toujeo insulin glargine 300 units/ml solution for injection in a pre-filled pen (SoloStar) is out of stock, with resupply currently not expected before mid-August 2022.
UK packs of Toujeo 300 units/ml solution for injection in a pre-filled pen (SoloStar) (EU/1/00/133/034) are available to order from your wholesaler as an exempt medicinal product to mitigate the impact of the shortage.
The exempt medicinal product is a 3 pack and a price has been agreed with the CPU with temporary reimbursement code 55535.This information was received too late for inclusion on the IPU Product File August update but can be manually added to your system if necessary.
Sanofi apologises for the inconvenience caused to you and your patients by this shortage which is due to manufacturing issues. Sanofi are doing everything possible to expedite the earliest possible return to supply.
