Shingles Vaccination Programme

Shingles Vaccination Programme

Currently, there is an age validation of 50 years and over in place on the PCRS portal for the recording of  the administration of a shingles vaccination. The shingles vaccines, Zostavax® and Shingrix®, only appear on the drop-down box when the patient is 50 years and over. The PCRS portal is due to be updated to allow for the recording of Shingrix® vaccine to those patients 18 years of age or older at increased risk of herpes zoster.

In the interim, pharmacists can submit all vaccination records relating to this patient group to PCRS.VaccineRecord@hse.ie to satisfy the legislative requirements of notifying the HSE.
