The HSE has announced the timeline for the second booster programme which aligns with the recent NIAC guidance, the information can be read here.
As outlined CVCs, GPs and Pharmacies will be able to administer second booster doses to the following cohorts on the dates outlined below:
- Monday, 15 August individuals aged 60 or older;
- Monday, 15 August women who are pregnant (from 16 weeks);
- Monday, 22 August individuals aged 55 or older; and
- Monday, 29 August individuals aged 50 or older.
An individual must wait at least four months after getting their last COVID-19 vaccine before receiving a booster. If an individual has had COVID-19 they also need to wait for at least four months since they tested positive or from when symptoms started.
