We have received a number of queries from members indicating that patients may be requesting the administration of a seasonal influenza vaccine, when these pharmacists have checked vaccination records these individuals had already received a dose from their GP for this season. We would therefore like to remind pharmacists providing this service on the importance of checking the patient’s vaccination history on the HSE PharmaVax portal prior to the administration of the flu vaccine.
