Pharmacy in the Media 

IPU President, Dermot Twomey, was interviewed by the Clare Byrne Show, speaking of the crisis surrounding the shortage of various antibiotics. Dermot was also interviewed on this same topic on several other national and regional radio stations including Newstalk, FM 104, Spin FM, Today FM, and others. The item was also covered in various publications including The Journal.ie, The Irish Times, and Irish Examiner. Vice-President Ann-Marie Horan also discussed the ongoing shortages issue on the Breakfast Show on Newstalk and she also appeared on Ireland AM.

Continuing on with the Children’s Flu Campaign, the IPU was again mentioned on national and regional radio stations encouraging parents to get the influenza vaccine for their children in a community pharmacy. 

On the topic of the Safe Pharmacy initiative, the IPU has been mentioned multiple times in Kilkenny-based news outlets regarding our involvement and efforts to eliminate violence against women.
