The Journal published an article on medicines shortages in which Susan O’Dwyer, IPU Head of Professional Services, was quoted noting the IPU is hopeful that pharmacists could soon gain the authority to dispense alternatives when prescribed medicines are out of stock under a “serious shortage protocol”.
IPU Vice-President Ann-Marie Horan appeared on Virgin Media TV News encouraging members of the public to get their vaccinations in their local pharmacy.
