Owings Update

The PCRS has issued a series of letters recently to those pharmacies that have not installed the Owings within their dispensary software systems requesting that they sign a declaration. The IPU position regarding the signing of a declaration remains unchanged in relation to the currently proposed wording included in the declaration. We cannot see how a supervising pharmacist can submit a monthly signed declaration advising that all items claimed have been supplied/provided to the patient and are not awaiting collection. Our objection to the current wording of the declaration is outlined in our correspondence to PCRS here. We are currently engaging directly with the PCRS on this matter.

If you have still not contacted your vendor to implement the owings functionality, the IPU strongly advises that you do so immediately.
