Thank you to all the pharmacies that participated in the Operation Transformation National Blood Pressure Day 2024 on the 18 January. We had in almost 700 pharmacies participate.
We had over 290 responses to the Blood Pressure survey and the results showed that in excess of 11 tests were carried out on average per pharmacy, this would equate to over 7,840 tests in total*. Of those that were tested, 26% were given a referral to their GP, 66% were given lifestyle advice and over 4% were given an urgent GP referral, the equivalent of almost 30 people.
