The Irish Pharmacy Union has launched IPU Jobs (www.jobs.ipu.ie), a dedicated jobs portal for the pharmacy sector in Ireland. Whether you’re a pharmacist, pharmacy technician or other pharmacy staff member seeking new career opportunities or a pharmacy owner in need of skilled staff, IPU Jobs offers a tailored platform to connect the right people with the right roles. From locum shifts to permanent positions, the portal simplifies the job search and recruitment process in the pharmacy industry.
For Employers: IPU Members looking to post job openings or locum shifts can easily do so for free by logging into the IPU website. Click on the “IPU Jobs” tab in the top menu, and you will be directed to the IPU Jobs Portal. To access the Employer’s Dashboard, simply click on the “Employers” button. Once inside, employers can:
- Post job ads or locum shifts
- Create alerts for locum pharmacists
- Track applications from candidates

For Candidates: Candidates interested in applying for pharmacy jobs or locum shifts can register as a Candidate for free by logging into the IPU website. Click on the “IPU Jobs” tab in the top menu, and you will be directed to the IPU Jobs Portal. To access the Candidate’s Dashboard, simply click on the “Candidates” button on the Jobs Portal. Once registered, you can:
- Apply for jobs and locum shifts
- Set up alerts for new job opportunities
Dual Role Access: If you are both an Employer and a Candidate, you can use the portal in both capacities. However, please note that you must register as a Candidate with a different email address than the one used for your Employer account.
Cost: Candidates can apply for any pharmacy job or locum shift for free without having to be a member of the IPU. Employers who are members of the IPU can also post pharmacy jobs or locum shifts without charge.
