As detailed previously, in response to our pay restoration campaign the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, instructed his officials to meet with the IPU and an initial meeting was held with representatives of the Department of Health last month. Following on from this meeting we officially lodged our pay claim with the Department. The claim encompasses several key aspects including a flat dispensing fee of €6.50, the restoration of the public sector pay link, the application of the current public sector pay agreement to all fees, and compensation for the ever-increasing compliance and administrative load.
We are due to meet the Department of Health again next week and we will keep you updated on any progress.
