To coincide with World Pharmacist Day the IPU will launch our White Paper, titled ‘Key Enablers for a Sustainable Pharmacy Model’ at an event to be held in the RCPI on Kildare Street, Dublin 2, on Wednesday 25 September. Key representatives from the health sector, including the HSE, the Department of Health (DoH), and political figures, will be in attendance.
The White Paper outlines a forward-thinking vision that enables community pharmacists to fully realise their potential in delivering healthcare services in our communities. It aligns with national priorities such as integrated care and expanded primary healthcare, emphasising the collaboration needed to create a patient-centred healthcare system for the future.
IPU President, Tom Murray will officially launch the White Paper, presenting key policy initiatives aimed at positioning community pharmacies as critical community healthcare hubs. These initiatives focus on improving patient safety, enhancing public health outcomes, promoting responsible medication management and a sustainable future for the community pharmacy sector.
