Electronic claims need to be received by the HSE PCRS by midnight on the third working day, Tuesday 5 July.
Normal Payment
Electronic claims need to be received by the HSE PCRS by midnight on the seventh day, Thursday 7 July. Fixed exception claims need to be transmitted by midnight on the eighth working day, Tuesday 12 July.
Starting from today, 50 pharmacies will be randomly selected to submit their ‘yellow bag’. If you are selected, your pharmacy will be contacted and you will be notified that you have to submit your paperwork (yellow bag) at the end of the month. You should note that while we have agreed that for the three-month trial period there is no requirement for third party verification. The circular from PCRS can be viewed here. We are trying to reach a permanent solution whereby we reduce the administrative burden on pharmacies while at the same time recognising the States fiduciary role in monitoring compliance.
All other pharmacies will still need to manually submit dental, EU and methadone claims, as they are not processed electronically.
Paperwork for manual claims processing and ‘yellow bag’ paperwork must be received by close of business on the 7th Day, Thursday 7 July.
