In November, the PCRS issued Circular 030/22 re Management of Owings by Community Pharmacy Contractors and Claim Enhancements. The Circular requires contractors to enable Owings functionality by 31 December 2022. All three system vendors have developed the Owing functionality in line with PCRS requirements. If you have instructed your system vendor to install and enable the Owings functionality, you have complied with the Circular.
However, your pharmacy system provider will need time to install the Owings functionality and provide you with the appropriate training or support. If, by mid-December, you are concerned that your vendor will not meet the deadline, you should notify the PCRS by emailing pharmacy.response@hse.ie to explain the situation.
