Normal Payment
- Due 7th day – Thursday 7 March
Methadone Submission
- Prescriptions must be forwarded to the HSE no later than14 days after the last day of the month in which the supply was completed.
Fixed Exceptions
- Due 8th working day – Tuesday 12 March
Submission of Paperwork
As previously advised, 100 pharmacies will be randomly selected each month to submit their ‘yellow bag’. If your pharmacy is selected, you will be contacted by Healthmail and notified that you must submit your paperwork (yellow bag) at the end of the month invoices excluded. The deadline for the receipt of supporting paperwork will be outlined in the email sent by the HSE-PCRS and usually is by 5 pm on the 5th day of the month. If this deadline falls on a Saturday/Sunday/Public Holiday, supporting paperwork should be received by HSE-PCRS on the next working day.

Late End of Month File Submissions
We wish to advise members that the PCRS are not obliged to include late end of month claim files submissions for early payment. We have made successful representations on behalf of a number of members for early payment where they have made late submissions; however, those who are repeatedly late submitting their files cannot be assured of early payment in future. Submission files submitted after early payment dates will only be included in normal payment. Pharmacies can confirm if their file submission has been sent by reviewing the Transmission History Tool on the PCRS suite which updates within 15 minutes of a claim file being submitted. If you are experiencing difficulty transmitting your claims, contact your system vendor and the HSE PCRS immediately.
