HPRA Recall – Atomoxetine Accord Hard Capsules

The HPRA has advised that all in-date batches of Atomoxetine Accord 10/18/25/40/60/80/100mg Hard Capsules are being recalled with immediate effect.

The recall is to pharmacy level. The reason for the recall is out of specification assay results.

You are requested to take the following actions:

  1. Immediately quarantine any units of these products which you have in your possession. For hospital pharmacists, this includes stock on wards, at clinics or any other location within your hospital.
  2. Return quarantined units to your supplier, indicating that they are being returned as a result of this recall action. The final date for recalled stock to be received back for credit is 6th August 2024.
  3. If you have supplied any of these products to any other pharmacy, clinic or other such establishment, please provide them with a copy of the recall letter and request that they return any unused stock to you.
