HIQA National Engagement on Digital Health and Social Care

HIQA National Engagement on Digital Health and Social Care

The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA), in partnership with the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Department of Health, is carrying out a National Engagement on Digital Health and Social Care. This involves research with the Irish public and health and social care professionals (HSCPs) on their opinions and attitudes around the digital provision of care and patients having digital access to their own health and social care information. In particular, HIQA wants to understand your opinions, attitudes, and comfort levels with digital health and social care and any potential benefits, challenges, and gaps.

The IPU participated in a focus group to help develop the themes that should be addressed as part of the research and HIQA is now inviting professionals in medicine; nurse and midwifery; pharmacy; dentistry; pre-hospital emergency care; psychology; and registrants with CORU, to share their opinions through an online survey that will take about 15 minutes. Advancements in digital health are of particular importance to pharmacy and your patients and the IPU encourages your participation, if you can spare the time, please click here.

For more information, please see the consultation page for the professional survey on the HIQA website.
