Free Contraception Scheme – Tailored CHC

The Department of Health and PCRS have confirmed that tailored combined hormonal contraceptives (CHC) regimens (a reduced 4-day break, extended use or continuous use) are to be fully reimbursed i.e. the PCRS will reimburse the quantity of packs required to cover six months’ supply with the maximum dispensing fee for 6 months (€24) as per legislation.

If any pharmacists are experiencing issues with reimbursement, the PCRS has requested that they be contacted regarding this matter.
