We have noted a substantial price differential between the reimbursement price and wholesaler cost of Suprefact (ULM). The reimbursement price for one pack of Suprefact stands at €44.68, while the wholesaler price for a Suprefact double pack is approximately €245.
We have brought this issue to the attention of the PCRS. They have advised that where a pharmacy cannot purchase the medicine at the reimbursement price associated with it, you utilise the discretionary hardship claims for GMS patients, and code 777 for DPS patients, to secure reimbursement at the sourced price.
