Circular 023/23 includes a communication received from the Department of Health, which covers the following:
- Authorisation of supply of methadone to pharmacies for non-opioid dependent patients; and
- Authorising Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) Prescription Forms for non-opioid dependent patients.
The Department of Health has specified that all requests should be submitted exclusively via email to controlled_drugs@health.gov.ie.
