Those pharmacies participating in the COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Programme and the Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme are asked to complete an online end of year stock take. The annual stocktake of HSE vaccines must be completed by 31 December 2022. This includes all in-date vials of COVID-19 bivalent adapted vaccines and seasonal Influenza vaccines, which were received from the HSE National Cold Chain Service (NCCS). Each vaccine must be recorded.
Expired and damaged, unopened vaccines must not be used and should be isolated and removed from the pharmaceutical grade fridge. The NCCS should be consulted as to their arrangements for the collection and destruction of any unused, unopened, damaged or expired vaccines.
The last deliveries before Christmas for any HSE vaccine obtained through NCCS will take place on 21 December 2022 and deliveries will resume on 3 January 2023.
