Home » Only six weeks to go for 2023 IPU Annual Conference
It won’t be long now until we get to meet at the IPU conference in Co. Meath. The event, which is now six weeks away, will take place in Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co Meath. The 2023 Conference will be a special one in the IPU’s history as we celebrate on the double: Firstly, we will celebrate the momentous occasion of our 50th Anniversary and secondly, this will be the first face-to-face conference since 2019, so it will be an event not to be missed.
The conference agenda will have a balance of individual speakers, a CPD session and a motivational talk from Jim Gavin, who is seen as the most successful manager in the history of Gaelic football, overseeing the Dublin men’s senior team’s record five All-Ireland titles in a row. Mr Gavin’s talk will be followed by a lively interactive session, ‘The Great Debate’, which will take place just before the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly TD, addresses the conference.
On Friday night we have a casual ‘Meet and Greet’ session planned from 7.00pm, with drinks and light music in the conference area, to entertain those of you coming down the night before the event. This informal, social gathering will give you the perfect opportunity to unwind after your arrival and meet with friends, colleagues and other pharmacy staff in a relaxed environment.
The conference officially starts with registration at 8.15am on the Saturday morning, and the day will be focused on the theme of ‘Right Care, Right Time, Right Place’. There is a packed agenda, which will include engaging sessions from both international and Irish speakers, highlighting the learnings and the best way forward for community pharmacy in the future. There will also be ample time throughout the day to engage with our wide range of Sponsors and Exhibitors.
