The Renal Impairment Antimicrobial Prescribing guidance, which was updated in February, is available on the HSE’s antibioticprescribing.ie website and it also can be found under the ‘what’s new’ tab.
The updates made to the guidance include renal impairment dosing tables with new agents added (e.g. Paxlovid®) and changes to recommended doses for agents including cefalexin, fluconazole, terbinafine.
