IPU Pilot to Detect Hypertension and Atrial Fibrillation in the Community
Last week, we launched the IPU Pilot to Detect Hypertension and Atrial Fibrillation in the Community, in conjunction with the Irish Heart Foundation. The aim of the pilot is to provide a health check and heart health information service to people 50 years of age and over to determine the proportion of people in that cohort with hypertension and/or atrial fibrillation. Our intention is to screen 1,000 people in 50 pharmacies during the pilot. We had a great day at the training session in Dublin last week and look forward to the response from patients. You can read an article on the pilot on the Irish Heart Foundation website here.
