Uniphar

We are aware that Uniphar has written to contractors informing them that from the start of this month they are bringing in a monthly fixed €80 account management fee. We are seeking an urgent meeting with Uniphar to address the serious impact their decision will have upon community pharmacies. We will also raise with them current drug shortages & their allocation model along with the cost of delivery to second-line accounts of High-Tech medicines.

We are also raising the impact of this decision by with the Department of Health and the HSE. We are also due to meet the Minister for Health later this month where we will outline the impact of how decisions by both wholesalers are having a negative impact on frontline community pharmacies. The PCC is meeting next week and will decide what further action, if any, can be taken.
