Pharmacies can join the HSE Flu Vaccine Finder at any stage during the flu season provided they have HSE Flu vaccine stock to administer. To join the HSE Flu Vaccine Finder, please complete the application form which is available here. The same form can also be used to update any information or withdraw from the service. The HSE digital team will update the HSE Flu Vaccine Finder once weekly.

 

IPU Flub hub

We have updated the consent forms relating to the administration of QIV and LAIV. These can be accessed here. These have been amended to reflect the sequence in which data is entered into the HSE PharmaVax system and should allow for an easier data entry process.

 

Definition of a Healthcare Worker

For the purposes of vaccination and reimbursement, the definition of healthcare worker is as defined by the HPSC  as ‘anyone who works in a healthcare or social care setting, including healthcare students on clinical placement, frontline healthcare workers and other healthcare workers not in direct patient contact.’

HSE Circular

The HSE has issued a circular regarding the ‘Participation in the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme’. In this circular, the HSE outlines the important role pharmacists have played in the delivery of the COVID-19 national immunisation programme. It also clarifies the purpose of the current phase of the immunisation programme which is to maximise the availability, accessibility and uptake of the COVID-19 bivalent adapted booster vaccines and the seasonal Influenza vaccine for eligible cohorts and promote co-administration of both vaccines where possible.
