Political Advocacy  

Since IPU Politicians Day on September 21 there have been over two dozen parliamentary representations made on behalf of the community pharmacy sector. These have come from practically all political parties and highlight a broad range of issues from pharmacy fees and pharmacist shortages, to the call for the recruitment of a Chief Pharmaceutical Officer (CPO), to the expansion of pharmacy based services.

In total, pharmacy has been referenced in the Oireachtas 37 times since IPU Politicians Day. This compares to seven times over the same period in 2021. See further details here.
