October HSE PCRS Claim Submission Dates

Early Payment

• Electronic claims need to be received by the HSE PCRS by midnight on the third working day, Thursday, 3 November. While you do not have to submit your yellow bag, you will need to manually submit Dental, EU and Methadone claims by 5pm on the fifth working  day, Monday, 7 Novemberas they are not processed electronically.

Normal Payment

• Electronic claims need to be received by the HSE PCRS by midnight on the seventh day, Monday, 7 November. You will need to manually submit Dental, EU and Methadone claims by 5pm on the seventh day, Monday, 7 November.

Submission of Paperwork

• As previously advised, 100 pharmacies will be randomly selected to submit their ‘yellow bag’. If your pharmacy is selected, you will be contacted and notified that you are required to submit your paperwork (yellow bag) at the end of the month.

Please note that while we have agreed to this for a three-month trial period, there is no requirement for third party verification. The circular from the PCRS can be viewed here. We are trying to reach a permanent solution whereby we reduce the administrative burden on pharmacies, while at the same time recognising the State’s fiduciary role in monitoring compliance.
