Responsible for developing and promoting the interests of the IPU and the membership through effective communications with members, media, agencies and other parties that influence the sector.
Responsible for Union Membership including administration, maintenance of records, the locum list and the Secretary General’s office.
Responsible for the ICT concerns of the IPU and members. Responsible for coordinating the implementation of IT services. Secretary to the CPC IT Strategy Group.
Responsible for IPU Academy and providing education, learning and CPD opportunities for members. Also responsible for IPU NET.
Liaises with the HSE on all contractual and remuneration issues. Secretary to the PCC.
Secretary to Finance Committee. Responsible for the finances of the IPU. Maintains financial accounts and prepares year-end figures. Advises members on taxation and accountancy problems.
Responsible for a number of IT projects.
Responsible for the management and day-to-day administration of the IPU Product File.
Responsible for the professional aspects of the IPU Product File, including ATC Classifications, Warnings and Counselling Codes.
Responsible for the daily updating of the IPU Product File and the dissemination of Product File related information to members. Deals with products in short supply.
Manages all aspects of the IPU National Pharmacy Conference and is an Editorial Associate of the IPU Review. Responsible for regular communications with members, particularly the GM and weekly eNewsletter. Also coordinates the IPU advertising campaigns.
Responsible for the administration of training including the Pharmacy Technicians, Medicines Counter Assistant, Pharmacy Interact and Pharmacy Interlink Courses. Maintains in-house library.
Secretary to Employee Pharmacists’ Committee. Responsible for the administration of training including the Pharmacy Technicians, Medicines Counter Assistant, Pharmacy Interact and Pharmacy Interlink Courses. Advises members on Human Resource, Salary Scales and Individual IR issues. Co-produces IPU Yearbook.
Responsible for coordinating all communication activities for the IPU and also for IPU publications, particularly the IPU Review and the Annual Report. She is also responsible for dealing with the media.
