IPU Medicines Counter Assistant’s Course
The IPU Medicines Counter Assistant’s Course (MCA) is one day a week, face to face, for five consecutive weeks for pharmacy staff who work on the pharmacy medicine counter.
The course is interactive in nature and will provide pharmacy staff with the skills and knowledge to deal effectively and sensitively with customers in the pharmacy. Emphasis is placed on questioning skills, product knowledge and appropriate referral.
Starting/Finishing Time
Courses start at 10:00am (1st day Registration 9:30am) and finish at 4:00pm promptly.
Cost
The cost of the course is €750 for non-members (€550 for IPU Members) per participant, which includes educational material and comprehensive course notes, lunches and teas and coffees. Please make cheques payable to IPU Services Ltd.
Please note that the IPU Counter Assistant’s Course (MCA) is one of the approved courses claimable under the Pharmacy Training Grant. Up to €1,270 per pharmacy, per year is reimbursable for training from the PCRS under the training grants scheme (information on this grant and the courses included is available from the PCRS 01 864 7100).
